The Presentation Guidelines

 

1. Language: 

    - The official language of the conference is English.

    - The slides of presentations must be written in English.

    - The speech of presentations must be in English.

 

2. Acceptable Oral Presentation Formats

There is no PowerPoint templates using of the STISWB2018 presentation. All speaker should choose appropriate charts, use colors and fonts well.

2.1)  Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 or earlier and Acrobat PDF.

      All speaker will upload their presentations from USB devices at the Slide Center or the session chair, following these guidelines : file names should contain the Article number followed by the short surname of the presenter, e.g. “ENG155 -Sirima.ppt to make sure that it is easy to find out.

2.2)  Create a Backup Copy and Preparing of Your Presentation

       We recommend you bring at least two copies of your presentation to the meeting in case there is a problem with one.

- The oral presentations will be made on computers using MICROSOFT WINDOWS and must be compatible with PowerPoint or in PDF format. The Oral presenters should test the compatibility of their presentations in advance before delivering them to the upload desk. Provided that personnel and time are available, speakers will be able to check their presentations at the presentation room .

- An upload desk will be available at the reception to manage and transfer presentation files to the specific presentation room. Speakers should go to the registration desk or at the session chair table for upload your files at least one hour before your presentation starts. Technicians will assist with the upload of your files and provide the opportunity to preview and/or edit the presentation as necessary.

 

3. Timing and suggestions of Oral Presentations

3.1) ** 15 minutes to present and 5 minutes for Q&A.

     The normal Oral presenters will be allocated 15 minutes for their presentation and 5 minutes for questions and answers ,or discussion with the audience.

Therefore, speakers should prepare a talk with a maximum duration of 15 minutes, in order to allow questions from the audience. If the presentation exceeds 10 minutes, the moderator will shorten the Q/A period that follows the presentation. All mark of the presentation will be awarded by each session chairs.

3.2) Presenters will be asked to stop if the allotted time is exceeded.

      Please follow the suggestion of their session chairs. The presentation should outline the aim of the study, the methodology, discuss the results, with any relevant statistics and/or images in context and draw the talk to a conclusion with any recommendations for clinical or scientific practice. Any literature quoted should be referenced at the foot of the slide or at the end slide. The presentation style, timekeeping, overall quality of presentation and ability to deal with questions will be taken into consideration when judging oral presentations.

3.3) All Speaker should be present in their respective lecture rooms at least 10 minutes before the start of the session, in order to meet with other speakers and with the Convenors. Technical support will be provided in all rooms by the STISWB2018 Staff helpers.

3.4) When reviewing your presentation in the meeting room, make sure all fonts, images, and animations appear as expected and that all audio or video clips are working properly.          The computers in the meeting rooms are identical in configuration to the computers in the meeting room

 

4. Audio/Visual & Equipment Available for presentation

     Do not bring a laptop or other media device directly to the session room.

    The STISWB2018 Staff will prepare all necessary equipment for the oral presentation.            All session meeting rooms are equipped with the following audiovisual equipment:

  • LCD projector
  • Computer (Windows-based PC)
  • Screen
